We are eagerly preparing for this year’s maple season. Our first run last year was toward the last of February. We should be tapping approximately 2 weeks from now, and hopefully catch that very first run of sap. We can hardly wait!!
As you can see by the photo we still have plenty of snow at the sugar camp even with the milder temperatures. Typically on Nuttby it snows when it rains everywhere else.
We’re going to try our hand at maple butter (maple cream) this year and will be offering our half L and 1L sizes of maple syrup again, and have added the 2 L. jug.
