Ingredients:

4 cups flour
2 heaping tsp of baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup shortening
¼ cup of white sugar
2 cups milk
¼ cup butter or margarine
MacRae’s Rocky Ridge maple sugar & cinnamon
MacRae’s Rocky Ridge maple butter for drizzling on top

Directions:

Preheat over to 450o F. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in shortening. Add milk, sugar and mix well. Roll to ¼ inch thickness in the shape of a rectangle. Spread melted butter on top of dough. Then sprinkle with maple sugar and a sprinkle cinnamon. Roll up dough like a jelly roll and cut into approximately ½ inch thick slices. Bake at 450 o F for 10 to 12 min or until lightly brown. Serve slightly warm or cool with a drizzle of maple butter.
