Family Favorites Made With Nova Scotia Maple Syrup
Maple Syrup can be used in baking as a substitute for sugar at a rate of ¾ cup maple syrup to 1 cup of sugar. You will need to reduce the amount of the other liquids by 3 tablespoons for each cup of Maple Syrup used in the recipe to compensate for the addition of syrup. Dark syrup is best used in baking and cooking rather than light.
Maple syrup also tastes great on ice cream, yogurt, oatmeal, ham, salmon, apple pie and apple crisp
